Here’s a delicious Fig Jam Recipe using your ingredients—fragrant, lightly spiced, and perfect on toast, cheese boards, or even over ice cream.

Makes about 4–5 cups
📝 Ingredients
8 cups fresh, clean figs (stems removed, quartered if large)
2 cups mild white wine (like Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc) — or water if preferred
Zest and juice of 2 lemons
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon ground cardamom
1 ½ tablespoons almond extract
¼ cup honey
🔪 Instructions
Prep the figs:Rinse, dry, and trim the stems off your figs. Cut large figs into quarters.
Combine ingredients:In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, add the figs, wine (or water), lemon zest and juice, cinnamon, cardamom, and honey. Stir well.
Simmer:Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring frequently. Once it starts to bubble, reduce heat to low and simmer for 45–60 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Mash or blend (optional):For a smoother jam, mash with a potato masher or use an immersion blender for 5–10 seconds (don’t over-blend—texture is nice!).
Add almond extract:Stir in the almond extract during the last 10 minutes of cooking.
Test for doneness:The jam is ready when it thickens and passes the “plate test” (drop a bit on a cold plate, wait 30 seconds, and swipe with your finger—it should wrinkle or leave a trail).
Jar and store:Spoon into sterilized jars. Let cool, then refrigerate for up to 3 weeks, or water-bath can for longer shelf life.
